Work clean - be employed

Analyses show that an average household spends about 6 hours cleaning every week, which points to an obvious demand for housecleaning works. However, about 90 percent of housecleaning works are provided on the grey market. In order to provide better employment status to people doing housecleaning jobs, this project aims to enable unemployed persons (registered at the Croatian Employment Service) to start their own businesses.

The city provides grants to unemployed persons for starting their own housecleaning and landscape maintenance businesses. The grant is HRK 20,000 and covers the costs of trade registration, 12-month contributions, accounting and fiscal cash register services. The project started after the Public Invitation on 29 March 2017 and it will be implemented until all allocated funds are spent. The submission of applications is in progress, and the city Blue Office will also organize workshops for potential grant beneficiaries.
