The Erasmus programme is directed at higher education. As an education and training programme it enables students, professors and business stuff to study and work abroad each year and it funds co-operation between higher education institutions across Europe. An overriding aim of the programme is to help create a ‘European Higher Education Area’ and foster innovation throughout Europe.
