Lifelong Learning Programme contributes to the development of the EU as an advanced knowledge-based society with sustainable economic development, a greater employment rate, high quality jobs, and a greater scale of social cohesion through four sub-programmes which fund projects at different levels of education and training: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig. With a budget of nearly € 7 billion for the period 2007 - 2013, the programme funds a range of actions including exchanges, study visits and networking activities.
